After a bit of an absence, Nox is back with her review of
Jisan Valley Music Festival. That's in KOREA. Go Nox for being worldly! One day, I'll have correspondence on every major music festival in the world, just you wait.

Ripper here with this week's article on my
new found love for 30 Seconds To Mars. Don't worry, I hate myself for it just as much as you do.
Pretty rad stuff coming up in the next few weeks and of course, the customary Reading review. I will be armed with pen and paper and Cheweee bars.

Yo! We're back. Here's my article on
why posicore is the perfect summer music. I can happily say that all the graphics for TBO 2.0 have been finished and it's just a case of coding all the Wordpress now. Properly. Without it kicking me in the face.
Our FFAF competition is closed and we have chosen a winner! Congratulations go to Nevin, who will be receiving his CD very soon.
Now to shred up Singstar - I got Saves The Day so I can do my best Chris Conley impression. I've got a cold right now so it shouldn't be too hard.

Apologies that this took a while to get up, but I've had a pretty busy day. Here's
my latest recommendations!
There will not be an article next week as I will not have any form of internet or computer. Speculation as to why may occur now.
Also, our FFAF competition ends on Saturday! Winners will be chosen next week and will receive their prize as soon as possible. But you can still enter! Scroll down for details.

Kitteh has passed on a review of Kyra's debut ep, These Precious Things.
Read it here. Sadly, my production rate is not too high and the new design is virtually nowhere near completion. It is also going to be a killer moving everything. But I swear, by the end of the summer, this will be finished!

Check out a review of My Preserver's debut album,
Revolutions In The Head here.
The hard work is starting this week - all the coding. I hate coding. I'm not very good at it, it's a lot of effort, even if there is something oddly therapeutic about it. However, it does mean that TBO will be nice and shiny.
Also, thanks so much for watching the FFAF interview! It's had loads of views so far, and we hope you enjoyed it. More video content coming soon. And don't forget about our competition! Question and details are a couple of posts below and you have until the end of July.

While it's a couple of months old, Kitteh's review of the
Kill Hannah show in May is well worth reading. Awesome night.
Don't forget about our FFAF competition! Look at the news post below for details. And remember - you only have until the end of July to enter!

It may be a few days late, but it's worth it - here's our
interview with Matt and Ryan from Funeral For A Friend! They were very nice chaps.
Also, if you'd like to win yourself a signed copy of the greatest hits album
Your History Is Mine: 2002-2009, then answer this question!
What is the name of FFAF's first EP?
a) Four Ways To Scream Your Name
b) Between Order And Model
c) The Great Wide Open
Email your answer, name and address to
ripper@twobeatsoff.co.uk. Winners will be picked at random. Entries close at the end of July.
See you next week!

Apologies that everything is out of time this week - had to go up north for a family wedding and apparently, my dad's laptop doesn't like to post anything. So here's a bit of a metal injection courtesy of Kitteh as she reviews
Fever by Bullet For My Valentine. Stay tuned, we've got some good stuff coming up next week.

Good evening! We've got something a bit different today. Here is a review of
China Mieville's new book, Kraken by guest contributor Charlotte. We love China Mieville here at TBO; he is a very nice and clever man. And his books are fucking awesome. See what Charlotte said about Kraken and if that correlates with those views. Unfortunately, she didn't give me a rating out of five, but I'm sure you can tell where it's heading once you finish reading.
Tune in next week! Exciting things coming up in a fortnight too.

Reading and Leeds are fast on their way and well, we know that I like nothing better than a bit of fine punk rock on a summer's day, so here's my
preview of the Lock Up tent to hopefully guide you towards some new bands. There should be some great performances this year and I'm really looking forwards to it!
See you again next week!

Day late for a reason - I figured I'd review the Against Me! show that I went to yesterday.
Have a read.

Yo! Article's up a day early because my sister's coming to visit and I won't be able to put it up tomorrow. Here's a review of the
Alkaline Trio show last Friday.
And isn't the Lock Up line up amazing?! So psyched. Piece on it next week.

Fixed all the news pages, finally, and am getting everything in order. New layout has been being worked on - at least, from a graphics point of view - and I need to have a play around with Wordpress for the new format. However, this means that the site may be down for a few days. This won't happen for a couple of weeks yet, and if it takes longer than I expected, then we'll start hosting articles on a blogspot or something until we can be up and running again. Shifting to the Wordpress client has a number of benefits though, like allowing you guys to comment on articles! It will all just generally look a bit tidier too, which is always a good thing.

Hey there! Very, VERY exciting stuff this week - new writer Kitteh has officially joined the team! Check out her review on
Corporate Flesh Party by those darling My Passion boys. We're very happy to have her and you'll be seeing a lot more from her. Got any questions for her? Email
kitteh@twobeatsoff.co.uk.

Hey guys, sorry this is late! I've had lots of essays this week. Anyway, my two cents on
punk covers of pop songs.
Good luck to anyone doing exams at the moment! Believe me, I do sympathise, haha. See you next week!

It's the most important day of this year so far and we need to do something with it. If you're British, it's general election time. If you want change, you better go
cast your vote. I did. You should too. ^_^

Yesterday was 4/20. I believe that 4/20 is a crock of shit and instead, decided to listen to Minor Threat and eat cake. So, here's an article about
why I'm still straight edge. Over the past few days, I've really seen how being sxe has changed my life for the better, I really have.
Sorry for it being early, but I'm heading down to a bbq tomorrow and won't have time to post it then.

Sorry it's a day late - guess this balances out last week. Here is my rant on the current political climate, entitled
I know fuck all about politics. And it's true.
On a lighter note, if you haven't played soufex's Eli Roth dress up game, you sure as hell should!
It features very accurate body hair.

Clash of the Titans. We'll be resuming our regular programming next week.

Two reviews this week, to make up for the other week. Plus I saw two shows in two days and am extremely happy about that fact. Check out the reviews for
The Lawrence Arms and
Motion City Soundtrack in Birmingham. See you next week!

Hey! Just a regular update this week. As I have started driving a car, check out my ideas on the perfect
driving soundtrack.
However, I can tell you that I am legitimately working on a new site layout and it's looking pretty sweet. Hopefully, it'll be up before the end of April. About time, right?

Sorry guys, no article this week. Last week of term = excessively busy Ripper. However, I promise there will be an update next week and potentially a bigger one at that. Thanks for hanging around. Head on over to our
Facebook page and show it some love!

Yo! So, how are we liking Thursdays so far? Not sure if I'm feeling it myself, but at least I don't feel like such of an asshole for being late at updating. Thursdays are just... easier. And generally nicer. So here's my open letter to Final Fantasy XIII -
Square Enix, This One's For You. Bit of a departure from the usual, but goddammit, I love gaming.
See you next week!

Hello! Apologies that this is so late, it's been super busy this week. Here's my review of
Spaced Out: The Best of Nimoy and Shatner. Weird find, I know, but I hope you enjoy it.
I am also changing the release day to Thursday. Why? Because all of my classes are finished by 2 and I have nothing else to do on a Thursday afternoon than write for you guys. So next week, remember, Thursday. Thanks!

Yo! Sorry it's a bit late, it's been a busy week and this took me a while to finish. So this week, I get a bit retrospective and take a look at
the album 'Trainwreck' and why it matters. Seriously, if you've never gone and listened to it, go out, buy it now, steal it off a friend and be amazed.
Got any ideas for next week? Email me -

Good afternoon, TBO readers! This week, as I am lacking in article ideas, please take a bunch of
recommendations for stuff that I like and hope that you might like too! Other things I happen to like that aren't mentioned in that article but are highly appropriate are beards, chocolate, playing the guitar badly, band shirts that have Henry Rollins on them, still being straight-edge and Ryan Reynolds' torso. Actually, the whole of Ryan Reynolds.
Tell me what you like! Tweet that shit or email it to the regular address. See you next week!

This week's article is entitled
No Talent, No Camaraderie, No Hope and is my full fledged rant on the idea of 'Battle Of The Bands'. Hope you like it.
I've also been doing some serious Facebooking with regards to the site. Become a fan on Facebook if you have it by clicking

more show stereotypes you want to punch in the face. Would have been up yesterday, but it's been a hell of a week.
Also, check out this

Hello there! Here's a review of
the Henry Rollins show I caught this weekend. Get on in there and find out what the man's like.
What to expect next week? Reel Big Fish review. I am EXCITED.
Also the news feed has decided to screw up and put eh-he-heverything in italics. Will fix that later tonight after all my work is done. Sorry!

Hey! Hope you're enjoying the snow, or alternatively, sitting in the warm confines of a coffee shop somewhere. Anyway, here's an article from ninthandash on how
the Sims have got it made.
Also, fightclubsandwich will be stepping down from her post as a regular writer. We're sad to see her go and very thankful for the time she's dedicated to the zine. Without her, this thing would have never have got off the ground. Good luck in all your endeavours!

Happy new year! New article on my
horrible iTunes purchased list. I also have a few New Year's Resolutions to make. Firstly, fix up the news pages! Secondly, get that new archive in place. Thirdly, recruit some more writers/work on the old so you don't have to listen to me spout off all the time. Any more suggestions? Let me know! My email address is
ripper@twobeatsoff.co.uk, and don't hesitate to get in touch!
Sorry about last week, but I did have a jolly old time in London Town. Consider that my Christmas break.
